Precautions

  • Be aware that waxing leather and cotton is an irreversible process. We recommend testing on a small concealed area first – although neutral, leather conditioners may darken some leather. Applying wax to your cotton lead will darken the shade and tone of your cotton lead.

  • Do not use on suede, nubuck or aniline leather, best used on stiffened or harder leather.

  • Allergy advice : Contains Lanolin.

Returns Note:

We cannot accept returns on natural balms once they have been used. We cannot accept returns on any products once they have been waterproofed. Please ensure that you are happy with your products before making the decision to apply a waterproofing treatment.

Directions for use - Leather Proofing

  1. Ensure leather is dry and thoroughly clean before application.

  2. Apply sparingly with a dry soft cloth and allow the balm to absorb into the leather.

  3. After 20 minutes buff off any excess.

  4. Store tin in a cool place.

  5. Best applied in warm ambient temperatures, improving absorption into the leather.

Directions for use - Cotton Proofing

  1. Ensure cotton lead is dry and thoroughly clean before application.

  2. Apply an excess of wax to any areas of your lead which you wish to wax. The lead can be coated in entirety, or just areas such as the handle, or centre of the lead where your leather tab slides over it. Apply with a paper towel, spreading wax over any areas you wish to coat.

  3. Thoroughly Massage the wax into the cotton fibres, so that the oils penetrate into the lead core.

  4. After 20 minutes buff off any excess.

  5. Wax is best applied in 2 or 3 thin coats. Best applied in warm ambient temperatures, improving absorption into the rope.

  6. Store tin in a cool place.
